In the run-up to Easter, the ‘Bumburas’ Charitable Foundation launched an initiative to support the families of Ukrainian Defenders, bringing together government agencies as well as the Greek diplomatic and civil society communities.
In Kyiv, in collaboration with the Greek Embassy in Ukraine, the Coordination Headquarters and the Federation of Greek Communities of Ukraine, 50 families received assistance. In Odesa, a further 60 families were included in the initiative with the participation of the City Military Administration, the Department for Veterans and Combatants, and the Consulate General of Greece in Odesa.
After the gifts were handed out, a festive programme was organised for the children featuring their favourite characters, games and face painting, giving them genuine joy and the atmosphere of a real celebration.
Panteleimon Bumburas received a letter of thanks from the Coordination Headquarters for his contribution to supporting military families.
Commenting on the initiative, he noted:
“Children are our future. It is for their sake that we live, work and build a strong country. For me and my family, it is important to support such initiatives not with words, but with deeds. A special thank you to our Defenders. Thanks to you, the children have a present and a future. Glory to Ukraine!”
