The composition «The Abduction of Europe» was built in September 1994 by the architect V.N. Chepelev and the sculptor A.P. Tokarev and was represented as a gift to Odessa on the occasion of its bicentennial.
The company «Gefest» achieved land improvement and upgraded the composition at the 9-a stantsiia Velykoho Fontanu. Also, there are pedestrian walkways and a sports ground were landscaped with ground coated of granite seeding and an outdoor lighting system has been installed. Thus, 80 cubic meters of soil was brought for landscaping the park. Besides, park benches, urns and irrigation water pipes were installed in the square. The asphalt concrete pavement around the square was repaired, and the pedestrian crossings were restored with the use of tactile signs.
